We’re looking forward to another great season at the Club! To reserve your locker for 2026, please review the information below and complete the form at the bottom of this page.
Failure to return the signed agreement and payment by the deadlines may jeopardize your assigned locker.
Please review the rules carefully before submitting your form. By completing the form and signing the contract, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to comply with all Locker policies.
1. In this Service Contract (“Contract”), South Shore Yacht Club (the “Club”) provides the Member (which includes the Shared Member, if applicable) whose name appears below with the use of a locker. Use of the locker is further defined below.
2. This Contract is appended to and incorporated as part of that certain Member Agreement bearing the Member’s name for 2026 and signed and on file with the Club.
3. This Contract entitles the Member to use of Locker listed above (the “Locker”) for calendar year 2026. This Locker is located in one of these two locations: along the outside fence. inside the men’s locker room.
4. Use of the Locker is subject to all Club Rules, Procedures, Policies and directives. Members must provide their own locks unless a combination lock is included (some inside lockers only).
5. Renewing locker-holders may leave materials in the Locker for next year. A Locker that is not being renewed will be opened at year end by the Club and any materials remaining inside will be discarded by the Club
6. The Locker is for storage only of equipment normally or incidentally related to recreational boating. No commercial activity, business, or workshop use is permitted. Members may not store toxic, hazardous, flammable, or environmentally harmful materials, or any items prohibited by fire insurance policies or that may increase insurance costs. Prohibited items must be removed and properly disposed of upon demand. Members may not commit or permit any nuisance, waste, or activity that interferes with the quiet enjoyment of other locker Members.
7. Members must allow SSYC access to the Locker for emergencies, fire safety, inspection, maintenance, and repairs, with or without notice. Members may not block access to other lockers or parking areas.
8. Use of the Locker and SSYC facilities is at the Member’s sole risk. Member acknowledges the premises are accepted in good condition and that boating facilities involve inherent risks, including accidents and acts of God.
9. SSYC has no duty to safeguard the Locker or its contents and makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the condition or suitability of the Locker or building.
10. SSYC is not liable for loss, damage, or injury arising from use of the Locker, except where directly caused by SSYC’s active negligence or intentional misconduct. Member waives all other claims and agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SSYC and its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates. Member is responsible for insuring their own property.
11. In any dispute regarding this Contract, the prevailing party is entitled to recover reasonable costs and attorney’s fees, whether or not litigation is initiated.
