1. In this Service Contract (“Contract”), South Shore Yacht Club (the “Club”) provides the Member (which includes the Shared Member, if applicable) whose name appears below with the use of a dry sail storage spot for the 2026 boating season, for the boat listed above. Use of the dry sail storage is further defined below.
2. This Contract is appended to and incorporated as part of that certain Member Agreement bearing the Member’s name for 2026 and signed and on file with the Club.
3. This Contract entitles the Member to use Dry Sail Storage Spot Number that is assigned to them (the “Dry Sail Storage Spot”) from the Opening Date until the Closing Date for the boat listed above. (See Member Agreement.) A boat remaining after the Closing Date will be subject to removal and disposal or storage elsewhere by the Club at the Member’s expense.
4 .Use of the Dry Sail Storage Spot is subject to all Club Rules, Procedures, Policies and directives, including the Club’s right to move boats as needed for regattas or maintenance activities. The sticker issued by the Club must be displayed on the boat.
5. The boat in the Dry Sail Storage Spot must be on a trailer appropriate to its size and type. A boat weighing less than 3,000 pounds can be launched or retrieved at the Club’s small North or South derricks provided the boat is rigged for a single point connection to the derrick hook. All other boats, and specifically those over 3,000 pounds, must be taken to the public launch in South Shore Park (or elsewhere) for launch and recovery. Boats in dry sail storage may not be launched from the large derrick.
6. The Dry Sail Storage Spot may be occupied only by the Member’s boat on a trailer. Cars, trucks, empty trailers, trailers used for storage of equipment for other boats or any other items may not be stored there.
7. Electric cords may not be connected to Club power and left unattended.
8. If the Member’s boat is not in the Dry Sail Storage Spot by July 1st, 2026, the Member’s use of the spot and all fees paid to date will be forfeited and a new user may be assigned.
9. Dry Sail storage will be by seniority. A member who is assigned a space may renew his/her contract for the next year. If space is in short supply availability will be by seniority. The Club shall have the option to refuse the renewal, if during the term of the contract the space is not occupied or the boat not used by the boat owner; or, if the member, during the term of this contract, violates terms or conditions, or any rules published by the Grounds Committee
10. The Member is required to file proof of public liability insurance coverage in the amount of at least $300,000, listing or effectively naming the Club as an other-named-insured, such coverage to remain in effect through the term of use of the Dry Sail Storage Spot, before this Contract will be valid and before the related Agreement will be signed by the Club.
11. The Club is not and will not be responsible for any injuries (including death), or property damage resulting, caused by, or growing out of the use of the small derricks, docks or harbor facilities of the Club. The Member releases and discharges the Club and its officers, directors and employees from any and all liability for such loss, injury, death or damage to persons or property sustained while in or on the facilities of the Club. The use of Club facilities is entirely voluntary and at the risk of the Member.
This contract must be signed by the member before the boat can be stored or launched. A signed copy of this contract MUST be returned no later than March 20, 2026. Payment in full is due by April 25, 2026. If a signed contract & payment is not returned by these dates, it may jeopardize you retaining your dry sail space. Your stickers will be mailed to your residence on file before Memorial Day, 2026.
