Peterson Jim 2014The ship’s wheel is back on the front door. Thanks to Mary Richter for the work that she put into it.

We are still looking to replace our outdated surveillance system and also planning to replace the ceiling light fixtures in the bathrooms. The cabinets and sinks in the bathrooms will be looked at next year.

To keep the club from getting cluttered we are not adding any more club burgees. Rotation of the existing ones with new ones will be done as needed. When an item is donated or loaned for display, if it is accepted, there is no obligation where or when it will be displayed. It is the club's discretion to move it at times or to take it down.

A discussion on bar and food was held to look at the costs. The cost of wholesale food and liquor keeps climbing and other costs that are involved are being looked into. It was brought up at the committee meeting that the bar coolers are not in good shape and will need to replaced or maybe just new doors installed in the future. The cost could be up to $2500.00 each.  Also the Lily-E room floor will need replacement sometime in the future.

The sewer smell problem we have been experiencing was discussed. There are two possible reasons for the problem: There may be water in the basement vent elbow, which can be blown out at times.  Alternatively, teh smell could be coming from the intake of the HVAC unit on the roof from the sewer vent pipe. We will experiment with solutions.

Be safe during haul out time; keep a sharp lookout when you’re on the grounds. At lot of things are going on and if someone is not paying attention, YOU better be.
