Remember Me

Fabiszak Mel 2014As a reminder to all slip tenants, to avoid any misunderstandings, please be sure you read and understand your lease agreement.

Your lease states that you are responsible for your slip’s maintenance. This includes wave boards and stairs that you install. You must remove these items at the end of the season. Even if your boat did not occupy the slip for the entire season, because it was out for service or cruising, and the club was able to rent the slip, it is still your responsibility to winterize the slip as the slip license holder. If at any time your slip will be vacant for more than 24 hours, it is your responsibility to inform the dockmaster that the slip is vacant, how long it will be vacant, and when you will be occupying the slip again. The clause is copied below for your reference.

Slip Use; Vacancies The Member shall not assign, transfer or permit use of the Slip to another party. When the Member's vessel is not docked, the Club may use or allow the use of the Slip in any way. The Member must notify the Dock master if the Slip will be vacated for more than 24 hours. The Member should establish a departure and return date with the Dock master, with confirmation 48 hours before Member intends to return to slip. If the Member has not occupied the slip before Memorial Day, occupancy to the Member will not be assured without 48 hours’ notice to the Dock master or Club Manager.

All slips on C dock were billed $50.00 per slip for longer boards to be used for mounting dock boxes. C dock is all wood so metal brackets would not work. As announced at the slip change party in January, the remainder of all open slips and members that changed slips will be getting metal dock box brackets in Spring and will be assessed $100.00 per set of brackets. This fee will appear on your club statement.

To organize the slip opening work party, a Slip Committee Meeting will be held Wednesday April 9, 2014 at 7:00 pm. The Slip opening work party is scheduled for Saturday April 12, 2014 at 9:00am in preparation for the first launch which is Saturday May 3, 2014 8:00 am.

You can learn more about the various racing fleets by clicking here.  And the racing schedule (for all fleets) is available here.
