Fall is here and with that comes the end of the boating season, and the closing of the docks.  In preparation of slip decommissioning, the slip committee will be having a closing meeting  on October 17, 2013 at 7:00pm in the dining room at SSYC.  The slip closing and  work party is scheduled for Saturday November 2, 2013. All volunteers are needed and  welcome! A good turnout will make all the projects go faster and more efficiently. Come join in and have some fun!

As a reminder to slip tenants, all dock appendages must be removed by November 1, 2013 in preparation of closing and in accordance with your slip lease.

There shall be a $100.00 charge if the slip committee has to remove anything from your dock. The committee has the discretion  to dispose of these items as the committee deems appropriate .

Dock boxes, to be stored on the SSYC grounds, need to have your name and slip number on them. If you do not store your boat at SSYC, there is a fee of $50.00 to store your dock box on the SSYC grounds.

The long anticipated dock box brackets have arrived. A small work party will be installing them beginning with members of the slip committee as the first test locations. The members that are frequent work party participants will be the next to have their brackets installed. The brackets will be tack welded in place making them safer. This will also make them a permanent part of the dock. The cost is $35.00 per bracket with two brackets needed for a standard dock box 24" deep X 48" wide. Anyone that would like to be added or deleted from the existing  bracket list, please notify me in writing (e-mail acceptable). Please list your name, slip number, and contact phone number.

As the season comes to a close and in preparation for next season, weather  permitting, committee members would like to replace the remainder of the dock boards on C dock this year.

As always, your cooperation will make the closing process, a faster and more enjoyable process for all.
