The 2014 76th Queen’s Cup Race is going to Muskegon, MI. As the finishing touches are being put to bed for the 2013 75th Queen’s Cup Race which was a very successful event, we are looking forward to the 2014 race to Muskegon. The race will be on Friday June 27th, 2014 so mark your calendars. The Muskegon Yacht Club will welcome the race, which will start in Milwaukee, WI at South Shore Yacht Club and finish off the shore of Muskegon, MI. The 2014 race will be the shortest of the three destinations with an approximate distance and bearing of 67nm at 079 degrees True. The South Haven was 76nm at 117 degrees and Ludington was 82nm at 047 degrees. Early finish times are to be expected, depending on the breezes. The planning stages are underway on both sides of the lake and the Muskegon Yacht Club will be welcoming the finishers with open arms. So as the two clubs plan for the event you too can start planning for the 2014 race with your yacht and crew.
