  SOUTH SHORE YACHT CLUB’s QUEEN'S CUP RACE
74th Sailing FRIDAY, JUNE 29, 2012 MILWAUKEE, WI to SOUTH HAVEN, MI
Join the fleet for a terrific time and a grand adventure. Plan now to participate in the 74th sailing of a storied yachting event, the Queen's Cup. Sponsored by South Shore Yacht Club, the annual overnight sprint across Lake Michigan departs for South Haven on June 29. We anticipate more than 200 boats and more than 1,400 crew will participate.
The race will take us to a new venue this year: South Haven. The members of Shouth Haven YC have joined forces with city government and business leaders to provide a fun and exciting weekend there. Click here for more information about SHYC.

Open to all boats, mono- and multihull, with valid LMPHRF handicap certificates. Open to all one-design classes, if at least 10 entries are received. The Multimultihull fleet will race if at least 5 entries are received. The Short-handed fleet is for monohulls with a crew limit of two. The Cruising fleet is for monohulls that will not fly spinnakers Scoring to be based on LMPHRF time-on-distance distance handicaps; any ties to be broken using on time-on-time. |

Registration, 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Queen's Cup Party, 6 p.m. - ?? Wisconsin-side activities coincide with Summerfest, and once again we'll be running a shuttle bus. |

Registration, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Starts staggered from mid-afternoon through early evening. |
| Saturday, June 30th |
The fleet arrives in South Haven with post-race festivities hosted by South Haven YC. |
Small-Boat-Friendly Fees Smaller boats will see a fee decrease this year as we switch over to an entry system based on LOA. The tipping point is 35 feet. It's a move on our part to make the fee schedule more equitable and increase participation in the lower divisions. |
