5 CLUBS RETURNING IN SPONSORSHIP FOR 3RD ANNUAL
2008 PORT WASHINGTON RENDEZVOUS

Following our very successful 2nd Year for the Port Washington Rendezvous, interest in this unique fall event continues to grow. With nearly 30 boats participating in 2007 this fun regatta is very quickly becoming a sure date on many skipper’s calendars for 2008.

The Port Rendezvous became a reality in 2006 with an idea floated by fleet members of the Sheboygan and South Shore Yacht Clubs who for years had been sharing a distance race finishing either in Sheboygan or Milwaukee with a combined party at the end. The new idea, of course, was for the clubs to race Friday night, finish in Port Washington and commence some fun racing between the two clubs the following day. The event has now grown and has five yacht clubs providing support, equipment, Race Committee volunteers, scoring assistance, awards and a great party. With this unique sponsorship type event we hope to continue to promote club PHRF racing and free of entry fees.
